What is Ocular Rosacea?

Ocular rosacea is inflammation of the eye that occurs as a result of rosacea, a chronic, inflammatory condition that affects the skin on the face, nose and forehead. The ocular rosacea symptoms include: red, dry and irritated eyes and eyelids, sensitivity to light (photophobia), blurred vision, visibly dilated small blood vessels on the white part of the eye, foreign body sensations, itching and burning. Ocular rosacea primarily affects adults between the ages of 30 and 60 and is more common in people with fair skin and light hair and eye color. In cases of severe ocular rosacea, inflammation of the cornea may lead to a corneal ulcer with infection. If left untreated, the corneal ulcer may even perforate the eye becoming a serious and potentially blinding complication. The treatment usually consists of lid hygiene measures and daily use of an antibiotic or combination antibiotic-steroid ointment.

The prolonged acid reflux can develops in severe complications. Fortunately, the serious complications of bleeding (hemorrhage) and esophageal perforation (a hole in the gullet allowing leakage of fluid into the central chest) are rare complications of gastro-esophageal reflux. If a perforation does occur in the esophagus, it results in infection and inflammation in the central chest area which can be fatal if not diagnosed and treated quickly. It is estimated that about 10 to 15 percent of individuals with severe symptoms of GERD will develop Barrett’s esophagus (a change in the lining of the esophagus that can increase the risk of cancer). Esophageal cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the esophagus. GERD is also significantly associated with the development of laryngeal cancer. Esophageal stricture is a gradual narrowing of the esophagus, which can lead to swallowing difficulties. Acid reflux can cause asthma problems and symptoms to accelerate. GERD can also cause hoarseness, chronic coughing, and bad breath.

Scrabble, designed by Alfred Mosher Butts, was first published commercially in 1948 by James Brunot. Players compete to build high-scoring Scrabble words on a crossword-like board. The rules of Scrabble are easy to learn; playing Scrabble will help you to improve your vocabulary, word skills and spelling. Scrabble is played on a board that is 15 spaces x 15 spaces. There are 100 single letter tiles. Each player starts with 7 tiles on their letter rack trying to form words. The player continues to replenish their rack up to 7 letters, until there are no more letters in play. The goal of Scrabble is to play the individual letter tiles on the board to build words. The new word should be connected to the other letters already played on the board. Scrabble score is determined by the sum of all the letter scores played on the board. Certain spaces on the Scrabble board have double letter, triple letter, double word and triple word scores. Tiles played on those spaces will score bonus points and are a large part of the strategy of Scrabble. There is a 50 points bonus if you play all 7 letters in a single word. The player who gets rid of all the letters on their rack first “goes out” and receives a bonus. The player with the most points at the end of the Scrabble game wins.

How to Take Cleocin
